Our library has made several efforts such as hosting cultural events, supporting school libraries, and prompt providing various materials, to satisfy local residents’ demand for information and knowledge.

2013. 10. 21 Won the 2013 National Library Operation Evaluation Award by the the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award (Community Cooperation Division)
2008. 09. 12 Designated as a school library support center in Geumsan
2003. 11. 26 Won the National Culture Infrastructure Evaluation Library Division Encouragement Award [Enforcement by Ministry of Culture and Tourism]
2003. 02. 20 Selected as an excellent organization by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development
2002. 09. 25 Selected as an excellent library, as a result of the assessment of public libraries for cultural infrastructures
2002. 07. 01 Established the digital resource center
2001. 09. 20 Signed an agreement for the joint use of materials of the central library of Jungbu University
2000. 12. 01 Established the e-resource center
2000. 04. 06 Designated as a life-long education center of Geumsan
1991. 03. 26 Renamed to Geumsan Library
